On April 28, 2020 the first online discussion workshop took place for the participants in the pilot training for a new profession “Online export activities specialist”, which is held within the framework of the DiVET project.

The workshop provided an opportunity for learners to discuss with the teacher cases that arose during the current distance self-learning on the modules for general economic training. Among the topics discussed during the online discussion were product marketing feature, basic principles and processes of exporting, legislation, business communication, transport market, time management.

The leader of the discussion was Dr. Emilia Duneva, a lecturer in the “Management” department of the UNSS from the side of the project partner Harmony 1 OOD. A video of the discussion can be found at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl-plQB1ZDw&feature=youtu.be

Due to the great interest of the participants in the training, BTPP plans to hold several more similar discussion workshops. The dates of the next discussions are yet to be specified, and the format will be tailored to the development of the epidemic situation in the country.

The pilot training under the DiVET project aims to prepare specialists in online export activities and includes a combination of face-to-face and distance learning, as well as a three-month internship in export-oriented companies. The qualification course covers 15 topics, which are divided into general economic training modules and specialized modules. Those who successfully complete the training will receive certificates of acquired skills corresponding to level 4 of the European Qualifications Framework.

Project DiVET (Joint Qualification for Export Specialists via Internet and Social Media) is implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program, with the participation of six partner organizations from three countries – Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. The main objective of the project is to develop the skills of young people to carry out export activities through the Internet and social media, which will lead to an increase in their employment, as well as provide enterprises with trained professionals who have the necessary skills to meet their needs.
