Second online discussion for participants in DiVET project training

The second online discussion workshop for participants in the pilot training for a new profession “Specialist in online export activities”, within the framework of the DiVET project, took place on May 19, 2020. Case studies that arose during the ongoing distance self-learning on the modules for general and special training.

Angel Iliev and Spas Spasov, owners of AMZ Genesis – a consulting firm offering comprehensive services for brand building, internet advertising, management of online stores and e-commerce platforms, led the discussion on behalf of the project partner Harmonia 1 OOD.

Three of the leading e-commerce platforms – Amazon, eBay and Etsy – were the focus of the discussion. Participants received useful tips for successfully promoting products and making sales through the various platforms. The specificities of different markets in Europe, Asia and North America were also discussed.

Examples of successfully selling items were also presented and useful tools used to market a particular product were demonstrated. Participants also had the opportunity to share their own experiences with e-commerce platforms.

The pilot training under the DiVET project aims to prepare specialists in online export activities and includes a combination of face-to-face and distance learning, as well as a three-month internship in export-oriented companies. The qualification course covers 15 topics, which are divided into general economic training modules and specialized modules. Those who successfully complete the training will receive certificates of acquired skills corresponding to level 4 of the European Qualifications Framework.

Project DiVET (Joint Qualification for Export Specialists via Internet and Social Media) is implemented within the Erasmus+ Program, with the participation of six partner organizations from three countries – Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. The main objective of the project is to develop the skills of young people to carry out export activities through the Internet and social media, which will lead to an increase in their employment, as well as provide enterprises with trained professionals who have the necessary skills to meet their needs.
