On May 28, 2024, the seminar “Digital Transformations and Professional Training” was held, organized by the Center for Professional Training “Harmonia 1” at the University of Forestry, Sofia. The event brought together experts and representatives from various organizations to discuss the role of digitalization in modern education and professional training.
Key highlights from the seminar included:
- Presentation of the MOSAIC Project: Trifon Pavlov presented the results of the project, funded by the Erasmus+ program, which aims to improve the digital competencies of trainees.
- Digitalization and Ecology: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miroslav Ivanov from Southwest University “Neofit Rilski” discussed the environmental aspects of furniture production and recycling.
- Key Factors for Successful Training: Georgi Dinchev from “Maxinet” Ltd. emphasized the importance of digitalization for the success of modern training.
- Collaboration between Educational Institutions and Industry: Mihail Zahariev from the furniture company “AKADO” shared the importance of education and internships for professional realization.
- Professional Training and Digitalization: Prof. Dr. Dimitar Angelski and other speakers discussed the links between professional training centers and universities, as well as the role of hackathons as a means of professional training.
The seminar concluded with a discussion on contemporary trends in digitalization in furniture design and production, with participants expressing readiness for future collaborations and the exchange of best practices.
